This website contains most of the class material for Intermediate Macro (Econ 102) I teach at UCLA.
Campuswire should be used for the discussion board as well as some additional readings. (the class is private, so I will give you a 4-digit code to enroll in the class)

Important. This website contains pdf images embedded in html. I strongly recommend Safari as a browser in order to view these images.

Help with maths. For this class, you are expected to be fluent with algebra and some calculus. If you do not like maths at all, you are best advised to take Econ 102 in another term, with another instructor using less quantitative methods. The only maths you are responsible for are those used in lectures and problem sets for this class. The following references might be useful at some point; but they contain much more than what you will need.

Past exams. Below is a list of past exams, for your reference. I would not try to look at past exams from 2015 or 2016, since I was then using a different textbook. Under “Spring 2018 (list)”, I also provide the list of exercises from Spring 2018 which you can solve using this year’s material. Anything that I do not go over this quarter is not exam material. In order to succeed in the class, it is best to first and primarily review the lectures and the problem sets.

Textbook. There is no required textbook for this class. The closest textbook for what I will teach probably is Blanchard’s Macroeconomics textbook. However, again, this is absolutely not required to succeed in the class. Moreover, there are substantial differences in terms of content that could confuse you.
